At this point, I think it’s safe to assume that when someone says The View what they really mean is The Liberal View. If anyone dares to so much as insinuate that the President might be right, or a conservative viewpoint might have merit, it is immediately shut down by whatever means necessary. If including logic is convenient, they’ll go ahead and do it, but it’s certainly not something they get tripped up over.
It’s always fun to see these highly qualified political analysts taking on political and national security issues on their show. No doubt their background in the public eye, living charmed lives in gated communities with security, and eating off of silver spoons has given them the perfect perspective as to what is good for the common person. These qualifications also make it especially incredulous when they decide to take a pot shot at one of the other “beautiful people” for being a conservative, as to they so love doing.
Via Truth Monitor:
“Joy Behar is known for her incredibly ignorant comments about Donald Trump, but she truly sank to a new low during yesterday’s episode of The View.
Conservative 101 reported that Behar embarked on a ridiculous rant on Wednesday in which she compared illegal immigrants to Jews in the Holocaust and mocked First Lady Melania Trump. Twitter users, however, made it clear that they have had enough of Behar’s nonsense. The segment opened with Behar’s cohost Whoopi Goldberg defending sanctuary cities.
‘I do believe that people when the laws are in place, when there’s a criminal, there’s nothing saying that New York can’t take care of that, that they’re not gonna deport somebody and say, ‘we put this person out,’ said Whoopi. ‘As I said the other day, Obama deported more illegal immigrants than any president, than any president,” said Whoopi. This however is misleading because the statistic she is quoting counts stopping illegals at the border and sending them back as ‘deporting’. ‘Or, undocumented immigrants, the words are like being black, or negro, or African-American.’
That’s when Behar chimed in…
‘It’s sort of like the Underground Railroad in a way, it reminds me of, or the people of Germany who took in the Jews, there are people who are really in trouble, who are going to be separated from their children,’ said Behar. ‘And anyway, where’s Melania gonna go if we don’t have any sanctuary cities?’”
Wow, way to keep it classy Behar! Isn’t lumping all immigrants into the same category, i.e. illegal, exactly the kind of racism that you so often lambast others for? You see, being an immigrant isn’t the problem. Immigrants don’t need sanctuary from anything, they just need to not be targeted and lumped into a group with the law breakers. Immigrants, as most of us would be considered, can go where they want and are on an equal footing with the rest of Americans. This is the category that our first lady falls into. Immigrants, not illegal.
Thankfully a few of Twitter users saw the light and brought it to everyone’s attention.
It’s so easy to hurl insults from your cushy chair and beautiful life. It’s an easy thing to pick apart someone’s life because you don’t like them, but where is the integrity? And for the record, I was saying the same thing when conservatives were hurling groundless insults at Michelle Obama. There are plenty of real life things for me to disagree with her and her husband on without making up things that aren’t true. Why don’t you say what you mean and call Melania out for choosing to quit her career and stay home and be a good wife. That’s the real problem, isn’t it? She’s a beautiful and powerful woman who isn’t a liberal.
